New York, NY| The Skyline Conference released its weekly awards on Monday afternoon and amongst the winners was sophomore Julianna Kohlus of the St. Joseph's College (L.I.) women's swimming team who was named Women's Swimming Swimmer of the Week.
Kohlus recorded a trio of first-place finishes at a Skyline Conference double-duel inside the Danzi Center Pool on Saturday afternoon. SJC defeated both SUNY Old Westbury and SUNY Purchase at the meet.
The sophomore was a member of the 200-yard medley relay team that posted a time of 2:09.38 and opened the afternoon with a first-place finish.
She would go on to secure first-place finishes in the 1000-yard freestyle (12:30.98) and the 100-yard butterfly.
Kohlus becomes the first Golden Eagle to be named Skyline Conference Swimmer of the Week since Kim Mazza earned the honor on November 16, 2015.
